League Meet 3

Today we competed in our 3rd and final league meet of the season. While we ended the day with a 2-4 record, the matches revealed critical technical issues that need immediate attention before the league tournament.
Match 1: 30-54
Partnering with our sister team 3734 against 31792 & 28144, we faced immediate technical challenges. Our robot failed to start moving at the beginning of teleop, likely due to static, costing us precious seconds until we finally got operational around 15 seconds later. Despite missing our autonomous entirely (though 3734 got one green artifact), we attempted to recover during teleop. However, several mechanical issues occurred. For example, the paddle was down when a ball went out of the robot. Also, the shooting calibration was significantly off with constant overshoots and undershoots. The opposing alliance’s aggressive pushing in the contested areas made it harder to score too.
Match 2: 30-76
Teaming with 32088 against red alliance 25801 and 27013, our struggles continued. Autonomous execution faltered with both green and purple shots missing the goal. In teleop, we consistently overshot nearly every artifact. The opposing alliance played defensively with lots of pushing, completely disrupting our ability to aim. The constant shoving likely contributed to our robot disconnecting mid-match, leaving us unable to complete the game. This match emphasized our need for both more robust connections and better defensive positioning strategies.
Match 3: 62-69
Partnering with 31625 against red alliance 28922 and 21963, we saw improvement despite the close loss. Our autonomous was skipped, though our partner scored one purple. Teleop showed better consistency with some successful purple and green shots, though accuracy issues persisted throughout. The opposing alliance played heavy defense, making scoring opportunities difficult. We successfully completed overflow shots and managed parking in the endgame.
Match 4: 63-46
Teaming with 31053 against blue alliance 28144 and 20347, we delivered one of our better performances of the day. Though we had no autonomous routine, our teleop execution improved significantly. We made three consecutive purple shots early on, showing consistency we hadn't seen in previous matches. We did experience some undershoots, indicating our calibration still needed work, but successfully parking during the endgame secured valuable points and demonstrated improved driver awareness.
Match 5: 46-52
Partnering with 20347 against blue alliance 23913 and 33791, we faced another tight match. Autonomous struggled with both shots undershooting their targets. Teleop proved challenging as we were shooting from a contested area with significant contact from opposing robots. Despite the difficult positioning, we managed several successful purple shots. We did have quite a bit of backspin on the artifacts, causing them to bounce in and out of the goal. However, accuracy remained inconsistent with both undershoots and overshoots throughout.
Match 6: 61-55
Closing out League Meet Three, we secured our second win of the day. Though, 30 penalty points from opponent fouls certainly helped. Autonomous showed mixed results with one successful shot but ongoing calibration issues. teleop revealed our persistent struggles with numerous undershoots balanced against several successful shots. Successfully parking during endgame secured additional points.
