# Experiments with GPT-4 for FTC Teams

This is my second session with ChatGPT trying to see how useful it might be for mentoring FTC teams. This time I decided to pay the $20 per month to upgrade from GPT-3.5 to GPT-4. And it made a substantial difference. With only this limited experience, it's already clear that state of the art AI will have to be incorporated as an integral tool for any kind of knowledge based workflows. Students have a great advantage in incorporating this new set of tools into their learning. It feels very close to having a personal tutor at your beck and call. This has already lead to questions about proper use, abuse and dependence on these technologies which need to be resolved through cultural evolution, but in the meantime we'll need to explore the potential and trust that we'll be able to apply some common sense to the ethical rules we will follow.

By the team FIRST starts up again in the fall, I'm sure that many teams will have adopted the use of the latest set of AI tools.
